“Digital Art” is defined as the creative combination of art and technology.  Some artists work exclusively in the digital realm.  Others integrate digital elements into traditional work.

“Consortium” is defined as an association of two or more individuals, companies, organizations or governments (or any combination of these entities) with the objective of participating in a common activity or pooling their resources for achieving a common goal.

As a network of artistic integrity, the Digital Arts Consortium serves as the catalyst between organic and technological artists, aiding them in their quest to work together to create, produce, and distribute physical and digital media and entertainment.

The DAC bridges the gap between art and technology so that artists from all areas of expertise -- musicians, studio artists, filmmakers, performance artists, photographers, graphic designers, technology experts and more can construct new forms of expression through education, exploration, cooperation and collaboration employing the *Creative Commons ideology.

*Creative Commons (CC) is a non-profit organization devoted to expanding the range of creative works available for others to build upon legally and to share. The organization has released several copyright licenses known as Creative Commons licenses. These licenses allow creators to communicate which rights they reserve, and which rights they waive for the benefit of other creators
